Vaters and the truck competed in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 3. ![]() ![]() In 2019, Overkill Evolution received an updated body style, being a 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty. As a result, various drivers, including Brad Allen and Daron Basl would drive in his place. After the first quarter, Vaters would take time off from driving to spend time with his family. They would again be invited to compete in Monster Jam World Finals XIX. This ultimately resulted in Overkill Evolution finishing sixth in the series standings. Vaters and the truck competed in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 4, winning freestyle championships in Toronto, San Antonio, and Anaheim. In 2018, Overkill Evolution received an updated paint scheme, featuring an updated flame pattern. Vaters would return in time to compete in Monster Jam World Finals XVIII. ![]() Halfway through the series, Vaters would temporarily take time off from driving following the birth of his son, and Sean Duhon drove the truck in his place. In 2017, Overkill Evolution competed in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series 3. Matt Cody would drive the truck in Woodstock 2016. Vaters and the truck would be invited to compete in Monster Jam World Finals XVII, where the truck would receive a special chrome paint scheme for the occasion. In 2016, Overkill Evolution competed in the Fox Sports 1 Championship Series. Overkill Evolution would again be invited to compete in Monster Jam World Finals XVI in 2015, where Vaters would go on to win the World Freestyle Championship. Vaters and the truck would then be invited to compete in the Young Guns Shootout at Monster Jam World Finals XV, which they would go on to win, defeating Coty Saucier in Monster Energy and earning the thirty-second and final spot in the main event. Vaters’ son, Mike Vaters II, would be selected as the driver for the truck. Construction on the truck began that October and was finished days before the truck’s first show on January 4, 2014, at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The truck would eventually be removed later in the year.Overkill Evolution was originally created in 2013 after Marty Garza partnered with Michael Vaters of Vaters Motorsports to create Overkill Evolution.Even after the truck's retirement, the truck still remained on Monster Jam's website.However, a week before the event took place, the Fast Metal sponsorship ended, and work began on making a brand-new truck, which would eventually be Blown Money. The truck was slated to return at the Monster Jam event In New Orleans, Louisiana on July 9, 2022.Ironically, Fast Metal's return to competition in 20 was slated for its return, prior to its abrupt retirement.However, Tompkins would be injured following the opening event of Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series Green in Tampa, resulting in him being unable to drive the truck. Buddy Tompkins was originally slated to drive Fast Metal.It was replaced by its new teammate, Blown Money, which debuted at the New Orleans show. ![]() This came to an end on July 2, 2022, when it was revealed the Fast Metal sponsorship ended, retiring the truck. In 2022, the truck was scheduled to return to competition at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, with an unknown driver. This resulted in Fast Metal being placed back into hiatus. He would drive the truck until the end of the season, when he left Loose Cannon Racing to rejoin FELD Motorsports to drive Dragon the following year. In 2021, Fast Metal would be briefly placed on hiatus for the start of the season, but would return to competition at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, with Saucier serving as the full-time driver throughout the season. Later in the summer, previous Monster Energy driver Coty Saucier would take over the driving duties, as the truck competed in that year's 4 Wheel Jamboree Nationals. After the series would abruptly end in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, putting the entire monster truck industry on hold, Maes would step away from driving the truck. Both Maes and the truck competed in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series Yellow. It was run on the original Bad Company chassis and was sponsored by the glasses and eyewear company of the same name.įast Metal originally debuted on February 1, 2020, with Brian Maes behind the wheel. Fast Metal was a Chevrolet Silverado monster truck owned by Loose Cannon Racing and driven by Brian Maes and Coty Saucier. ![]()
